LebanonPostcard presents Lebanese religious icons (Tradition works of art painting, in the cultures of the Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox, the Roman Catholic, and certain Eastern Catholic churches.) They are not simply artworks; “an icon is a sacred image used in religious devotion”. The subjects include Christ, Mary, saints, and angels.
Our Icons are handmade original artworks painted on wood panels (MDF 1.8 cm) with egg tempera by artist-painter Aboud Bitar. Read more in Arabic:
هذه الأيقونات المقدسة مرسومة بألوان “التامبرا” ومضمونة حتى الماية عام بقدر ما تقدم تتقوى (كالأسمنت) ومرسومة على خشب MDF بسماكة 18 ملم، أما الذهب فهو ايطالي ماركة جيدة و يمكن تحويله الى ذهب عيار 21 (رقائق). عقد الرسام الى الأبقاء على بعض الخطوط ظاهرة وذلك لتمييز المرسم عن اللون كاايطار. ويمكن الرسم على القماش المحضر فوق الخشب. ويوجد خشب جوز للرسم.
تركيبة البويا: بودرة ملونة – صفار بيض – خل – ماء – غره عربية 5% محلولة
ملاحظة: يمكن الرسم مزدوج أي على وجهي الخشبة أي موضوعين لذات اللوحة.

LebanonPostcard will be responsible for sending the icons you order, through DHL express courier with a tracking number, guaranteeing reception of the package. The artwork may take between two and five days to arrive, according to the country it is sent to.
