Nour Salamé Abillama
Nour started her career as a consultant offering strategy and management advice in Paris, then settles in Lebanon in 2003 where she works in the fields of marketing and management for several international companies. in 2006, she joins her mother, Nada Salamé, as a general manager of her publishing house, and publishes Dream Homes of Lebanon then Dream Homes of Lebanon and beyond, thus introducing an additional book category specialized in Art and Design in addition to the weddings and table settings books initiated by her mother. Nour represents a Lebanese generation born during the war, and for whom Lebanese identity was a progressive discovery. Passionate about art, she decides to discover and pave the way for others to discover artists born in Lebanon through this book, which is an homage to Lebanese artists often unknown to the greater public. She fell in love with Lebanese art, and was adamant on sharing through this publication.
Marie Tomb
Marie is an art historian, educated at Yale University in the United States and the Courtauld institute of Art in London. In 2008, she returned to Lebanon to pass on her passion for art to Academie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts and Saint Joseph University students. Meanwhile, she takes part in the organization of contemporary art exhibitions in Beirut, often editing and contributing to their exhibition catalogues, in addition to expressing herself through various publications. Art from Lebanon gave her the opportunity to marry art and Lebanon, the two things she’s most passionate about, which she’s afraid she’ll never be able to fully grasp. This book, to her, represents a true journey through space and time, an adventure she took the liberty of telling in her own way.
