Le livre de Nagi Gergi Zeïdan sur l’histoire des Juifs du Liban est une patiente collecte d’informations historiques sur une communauté libanaise qui a été très importante dans le développement du Liban et qui a malheureusement pratiquement disparu au 21e siècle. En 2020, cette ancienne communauté juive était réduite à 29 personnes contre 3500 un siècle auparavant.
Le but de ce livre est de sauvegarder les archives perdues, oubliées et ignorées relatives à leur présence historique au Liban.
Le titre du livre fait référence à Abraham, en voici la raison : dans la Genèse au chapitre 14 : 14 de la Bible, Abraham a sauvé son frère à Dan. Cet endroit se trouvait historiquement dans la province de Marjayoun au Sud du Liban.
Dans les Évangiles, on lit que Jésus est passé avec sa mère à Sidon où il y avait un quartier juif avec sa synagogue et son cimetière, ce qui conforte, s’il était nécessaire, l’ancienneté de la présence des Juifs au Liban.
Ce livre, le premier du genre à effectuer des recherches aussi fouillées sur cette communauté, s’adresse à tous les publics soucieux de connaître leurs origines. Beaucoup de Libanais de la diaspora y retrouveront leurs racines et de nombreux souvenirs inédits.
Biographie de l’auteur: Nagi Gergi Zeïdan est franco-libanais. Il a vécu dans de nombreux pays (Maroc, Egypte…) où il a étudié leurs communautés juives. Depuis 1995, il effectue des recherches sur la communauté juive du Liban et il a recueilli une documentation considérable sur la généalogie des familles juives libanaises. Auteur de nombreux articles sur ce sujet, il a été interviewé par nombre de médias du Moyen-Orient. Pour la presse internationale, Nagi Gergi Zeïdan est l’un des tout premiers spécialistes de l’histoire des Juifs du Liban.

We ship as soon as possible, but within maximum 4 days after the order is received.
Credit cards are not charged until we actually ship the items. The items may take between one and six days to arrive, according to the country they are sent to.
Packages are sent with track code to guarantee reception, and delay is rare. In the event of non-delivery or delay, nothing can be done for 7 days. At the end of this period, on our being informed, a demand will be made for the package to be traced. If 14 days after the first dispatch there is still no delivery, a second package will be sent free.
Packages inside Lebanon are sent registered through LibanPost to guarantee reception, and delay or non-delivery is rare. In the event of non-delivery, nothing can be done for 6 days. At the end of this period, on our being informed, a demand will be made to LibanPost for the package to be traced. If 12 days after the first dispatch there is still no delivery, a second package will be sent free.
