Preambule – Eid Harb El Tannouri 1858-1943 عيد حرب التنوري

Le fabuleux destin de EID HARB EL TANNOURI prit naissance au XIXe siècle dans la tranquillité apparente du Mont Liban. En effet, ces villages sertis dans la montagne par le soleil du levant, n’avaient que l’apparence de la tranquillité.

À cette époque on assista à l’écroulement de la principauté autonome du Mont Liban. Par leur conversion au christianisme, les CHEHAB avaient mis fin à leur règne provoquant ainsi le soulèvement des druzes. Les Ottomans saisirent au vol cette contestation afin de diviser pour mieux régner. Entre 1848 et 1860 la guerre civile, orchestrée par les gouverneurs turcs de Damas, Tripoli et Beyrouth, toucha les différentes communautés du pays et ses confins.

La résistance chrétienne s’était organisée autour de Youssef Beck KARAM, trouvant refuge dans les villes maronites perchées sur les sommets du Nord. En 1860, l’intervention des troupes de Napoléon III mit fin à cette époque de tumulte avec l’instauration d’un protectorat décrété par les cinq empires (Français, Anglais, Austro-Hongrois, Russe et Ottoman) en contre partie les druzes exigèrent l’exil de Youssef Beck KARAM. La paix régna sur le pays chrétien ainsi créé, et sous l’instigation de Tanios CHAHINE, la révolte des paysans mit fin au régime féodal.

A Néanmoins, les ressources limitées du pays réveillèrent l’esprit phénicien et poussèrent des générations entières vers l’émigration. C’est dans cette atmosphère du XIXe siècle qu’a vu le jour mon bisaïeul EID HARB EL TANNOURI.

All prices include shipping and handling. LebanonPostcard will be responsible for sending the packages you order, at your charge, through the service D.H.L. / E.M.S. with tracking number code guaranteeing reception of the package.

We ship as soon as possible, but within maximum 4 days after the order is received.
Credit cards are not charged until we actually ship the items. The items may take between one and six days to arrive, according to the country they are sent to.

Packages are sent with track code to guarantee reception, and delay is rare. In the event of non-delivery or delay, nothing can be done for 7 days. At the end of this period, on our being informed, a demand will be made for the package to be traced. If 14 days after the first dispatch there is still no delivery, a second package will be sent free.

Packages inside Lebanon are sent registered through LibanPost to guarantee reception, and delay or non-delivery is rare. In the event of non-delivery, nothing can be done for 6 days. At the end of this period, on our being informed, a demand will be made to LibanPost for the package to be traced. If 12 days after the first dispatch there is still no delivery, a second package will be sent free.
