مقدمة الكاتب
انه لمن السخرية أن نزين بيوتنا بالأزهار الصناعية وفي خارجه تفيض المروج بالأنوار وتعج الرياض بالرياحين. .
وانه لمن السخرية، أيضاً، أن نشرب الماء المحفوظ وينابيع الحياة تتدفق مياهاً عذبة وتتفجر صحة وعافية. نحلي شرابنا بالسكر وندع العسل في شهده…!
أوليس من السخرية أيضاً أن ننبذ صيدلية الطبيعة وما فيها من غذاء وشفاء لنبتاع أقراص الدواء المصنوعة من صيدلية بشرية، نترك الأسمى ونتشبث بالأدنى. نبتاع المعادن ونذر الجواهر واللآلىء.
كان لكل بضع قرى طبيب واحد يعالج مرضاه بالوصفات الطبية فيشفون. وكان هو نفسه يعيش مريض الجيب خالي الوفاض معوزاً فقيراً. أما اليوم ففي كل قرية أطباء كثر يعالجون ويداوون، ويحيون حياة ثراء وبحبوحة. ما السر في ذلك؟ السر كل السر، في ابتعاد الإنسان عن أمه الطبيعة. يغتذي بلحوم حيوانات وحليب ودواجن وبيض أعد لها هو نفسه غذاء مصنوعاً تأباه هي وتعاف أكله. ويغتذي الوليد حليباً مجففاً صناعياً وأمه، خشية أن يتهدل ثدياها، لا ترضعه، والعكس هو الصحيح والمفيد، إذ يحتفظ الغديان باستدارتهما وصلابتهما في حال الارضاع. ومع تقدم العلم الكيميائي والنباتي اكتشف العلماء العناصر الفعالة في النبات، فعزلوها، وأكبوا على دراستها، ومعرفة قوامها، فاذا بهم يفلحون في صنعها كيميائياً دون الرجوع الى النبات. وهذا من عجائب الصناعة.
لكن بعض هذه المواد المصنوعة لا تفي بالحاجة اذ يقتضي المرء العودة الى النبات نفسه، يعالج به علته، ومثلاً لذلك، نبات الخلة الشيطانية الذي يشفي البهق (نوع من البرص). وصنعت منه الكيمياء علاجات لم تفد. ولكن من حسنات الصناعة أن الأدوية المصنوعة ادخرت للطبيعة أشجارها. فمادة الكينا الشافية من الملاريا كانت تستخرج من لحاء الكنكينا ( شجر الكينا ). ولولا وجود هذا العنصر الفعال لانقرضت الأشجار عن سطح الأرض. وكذلك الأمر في شجر الصفصاف الذي تستخرج منه مادة الساليسيلات الشافية للأمراض العصبية والتي صنع منها الأسبيرين والأسبرو والبانادول: هذا السفر الذي بين يديك، عزيزي القارىء، « معجم النباتات الطبية »، هو ثمرة مجهود دام أعواماً. تجد فيه ما تحتاج اليه من معرفة النبات. غذاء ودواء ووقاية فضلاً عن وصف النبات : ساقه، أزهاره وألوانها، وأوراقه كأنه باد لعينيك .
وهذا المعجم هو الأول من نوعه في اللغة العربية أوردنا فيه التركيب الكيميائي للنبات، منافعه ومضاره وطرق استعماله من تعطين أو غلي أو شراب أو صبغة أو خلاصة.
فعسى أن يكون لهذا الكتاب رواج في البلدان العربية، تفيد منه العامة والخاصة فيسد فراغاً في المكتبات العربية ويكون فاتحة سلسلة نود اصدارها تباعاً في مجال الطب النباتي والكيميائي والعناية بنبات الزينة والدواجن الأهلية وتربيتها والوصفات المنزلية التي لا تستغني عنها ربة بيت،

When you have finished viewing and wish to end your shopping and pay for the items you have selected, click on the Pay & Finish button at the bottom of your screen.
You will be led through a series of secure ordering procedures and will be asked to fill in personal, shipping and payment option information. When this is completed, you will press the Submit Secure Checkout button and your order will be transmitted to LebanonPostcard for fulfillment.

All prices include shipping and handling. LebanonPostcard will be responsible for sending the packages you order, at your charge, through the service D.H.L. / E.M.S. with tracking number code guaranteeing reception of the package.
We ship as soon as possible, but within maximum 4 days after the order is received.
Credit cards are not charged until we actually ship the items. The items may take between one and six days to arrive, according to the country they are sent to.
Packages are sent with track code to guarantee reception, and delay is rare. In the event of non-delivery or delay, nothing can be done for 7 days. At the end of this period, on our being informed, a demand will be made for the package to be traced. If 14 days after the first dispatch there is still no delivery, a second package will be sent free.
Packages inside Lebanon are sent registered through LibanPost to guarantee reception, and delay or non-delivery is rare. In the event of non-delivery, nothing can be done for 6 days. At the end of this period, on our being informed, a demand will be made to LibanPost for the package to be traced. If 12 days after the first dispatch there is still no delivery, a second package will be sent free.
