Beirut, December 12th 2012: The story of Old Beirut has now been told and stored for all the coming generations to see and admire… Imad Kozem, known for being one of finest toys collector in the region, has launched “Pure Nostalgia” in a book signing ceremony that took place in Librairie Antoine, Downtown, on the 12th of December.

Present at the event were renowned social and media figures all nostalgic and longing to relive the golden age of Beirut once again.

For the past 3 years, Imad has been passionately collecting pictures and artifacts of the old Beirut which resulted in the masterpiece “Pure Nostalgia”. This book is the only one available that captures Beirut in the 70s and is a premium reference for that era; the golden age of Beirut.

On this occasion, Imad Kozem stated, “Expressions like “Beirut was the Paris of the Middle East” were uttered and heard in every corner of Beirut… I am certain that you deeply recall what life was like before the war and long back to the golden age when any dream was possible and where every corner was filled with life and laughter. I tried to capture these nostalgic moments and preserve them for anyone to see…”

The book consists of over 3000 awe-inspiring pictures and spread out over 420.

Who is Imad Kozem, Imad A. Kozem the only child of Adnan and Najwa Kozem was born on June 23, 1966 in Beirut, Lebanon where he was raised and still lives in the Ras Beirut area overlooking the Mediterranean.
Imad Kozem is currently a managing partner at Engineering Design and Manufacturing (EDM) an Information Technology company that caters for Lebanon and the region.
In his childhood, his father took him often to the movies to watch James Bond films, this is how the British secret agent 007 has become his one and only idol. It is at school that he developed his passion for toys and as a result of the accumulated hundreds of them as a treasure. Today Imad Kozem is known to own one of the finest toys collection in the region amongst which an exclusive 007 memorabilia.
