This section of LebanonPostcard will talk about a personal experience I encounter while I was taking photos after the blast which destroyed part of Beirut.
I met accidentally on my road an old person, and I told him who I am, and about my love to take photos across Lebanon and informed him that I own the site discoverlebanon.com.
The person I was talking with was looking so gentlemen and kind, and he told me as well about his old passion to collect posters of Lebanon for many years. While he was explaining I felt sadness in his eyes. He continues his talking and told me that his house was massively destroyed by the Beirut explosion… and how his collection of posters has deteriorated slightly because of humidity and dust since the blast of Beirut.
I visited him later in his house and he shows me his collection which is about 400 posters all in one format 21×30 cm on thick cardboard. The collection is truly beautiful and very old and it is showing images of Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Palestine / Israel. I noticed that some posters get dust and humidity on the papers and some are not anymore new as before.
The person I met was living inside a ruined house… and he explained to me how his life has become so difficult in the last few years.
I told the person that I am interested in purchasing the collection and I paid him an amount of money. He was so happy to know that I can do that… because he was in need of money to cover expenses related to his difficult life. He gave me the posters and asks me to keep his name anonymous… and I left.
When I was back at my house, I decided to add the collection online and see if any person is interested in supporting people in need by ordering 5 posters.

LebanonPostcard will be responsible for sending the posters you order, through a fast courier with a tracking number, guaranteeing reception of the package. The item may take between two and five days to arrive, according to the country it is sent to.

b. Checking Out and pay for your purchases online.
When you have finished viewing and wish to end your shopping and pay for the items you have selected, click on the Pay & Finish button at the bottom of your screen.
You will be led through a series of secure ordering procedures and will be asked to fill in personal, shipping and payment option information. When this is completed, you will press the Submit Secure Checkout button and your order will be transmitted to LebanonPostcard for fulfillment.

All prices include shipping and handling. LebanonPostcard will be responsible for sending the packages you order, at your charge, through the service D.H.L. / E.M.S. with tracking number code guaranteeing reception of the package.
We ship as soon as possible, but within maximum 4 days after the order is received.
Credit cards are not charged until we actually ship the items. The items may take between one and six days to arrive, according to the country they are sent to.
Packages are sent with track code to guarantee reception, and delay is rare. In the event of non-delivery or delay, nothing can be done for 7 days. At the end of this period, on our being informed, a demand will be made for the package to be traced. If 14 days after the first dispatch there is still no delivery, a second package will be sent free.
Packages inside Lebanon are sent registered through LibanPost to guarantee reception, and delay or non-delivery is rare. In the event of non-delivery, nothing can be done for 6 days. At the end of this period, on our being informed, a demand will be made to LibanPost for the package to be traced. If 12 days after the first dispatch there is still no delivery, a second package will be sent free.
