L’œuvre de M. Joseph Chami n’est point seulement une apologie des Phéniciens. Révolté par l’injustice d’hommes de science ou de particuliers, qui ont vite fait de les taxer de marchands ou de copistes sans reconnaître l’étendue et la personnalité de leur œuvre, l’auteur s’est donné pour mission de montrer les éminents services qu’ils ont rendus à la civilisation et à l’humanité dans les domaines les plus variés. Il y met toute la chaleur de son âme.
Loin de répondre à des slogans faciles par des affirmations gratuites, M. Chami s’est penché sur les textes et les découvertes, accumulant patiemment et passionnément les preuves. Certains chapitres de son ouvrage, comme la médecine chez les Phéniciens, ne le cèdent en rien à l’œuvre de savants spécialistes.
On est tenté au moins de le suivre dans ses déductions; et, même si l’on ne partage pas toujours ses convictions, l’on ne peut que s’enthousiasmer pour les problèmes dont il force l’horizon. L’œuvre de M. Chami est précieuse, ne serait-ce que par la réunion en un seul ouvrage de tant de documents et par les relations qu’il cherche à établir entre les événements historiques et les croyances.
“De la Phénicie” constitue un sérieux contrepoids aux excès des détracteurs, qui ont traité la question sans en connaître tous les aspects et sans en mesurer toute la profondeur.
En lisant cet ouvrage, nous ne pouvons qu’admirer le savant effort de l’apôtre passionné au service d’une si noble cause.

All prices include shipping and handling. LebanonPostcard will be responsible for sending the packages you order, at your charge, through the service D.H.L. / E.M.S. with tracking number code guaranteeing reception of the package.
We ship as soon as possible, but within maximum 4 days after the order is received.
Credit cards are not charged until we actually ship the items. The items may take between one and six days to arrive, according to the country they are sent to.
Packages are sent with track code to guarantee reception, and delay is rare. In the event of non-delivery or delay, nothing can be done for 7 days. At the end of this period, on our being informed, a demand will be made for the package to be traced. If 14 days after the first dispatch there is still no delivery, a second package will be sent free.
Packages inside Lebanon are sent registered through LibanPost to guarantee reception, and delay or non-delivery is rare. In the event of non-delivery, nothing can be done for 6 days. At the end of this period, on our being informed, a demand will be made to LibanPost for the package to be traced. If 12 days after the first dispatch there is still no delivery, a second package will be sent free.
