Les Phéniciens sont-ils arrivés en Amérique? Bien sûr ! Ils y sont allés, et en sont revenus, durant des centaines d’années. C’était leur métier. Comment ont-ils fait? Exactement comme Pedro Cabral: sans faire exprès, la première fois, grâce aux courants marins.

Le missionnaire Emile Eddé, lui, vécut dix-Sept ans à Rio de Janeiro où il était Vicaire Episcopal des Maronites du Brésil. Il enseigna l’Histoire des Civilisations Orientales et Théologie Biblique (Livres Historiques) à l’Université, accumulant les preuves concordantes qui aboutissent à instruire, aujourd’hui, ce dossier un faisceau de présomptions propre à convaincre. En outre, il publia 14 ouvrages en quatre langues arabe, français, espagnol
et portugais.
Issus du premier peuple de l’Histoire qui crut en Dieu, dont le besoin de s’accomplir et le goût de la découverte reposaient sur la foi en la Providence, ces Phéniciens étaient bien plus que de simples commerçants: ils firent et furent la civilisation en Méditerranée.
Ils léguèrent aussi une œuvre culturelle considérable, profondément structurante pour l’âme et la raison des peuples, ne serait-ce que le savoir naviguer, et prier, trop souvent méconnue, à travers d’autres continents : le monde précolombien est un exemple.
