About the Authors

Dr. Ahmad Houri is an associate professor at the Department of Natural Sciences at the Lebanese American University. He is an avid photographer and nature lover. Nisrine Machaka Houri is an environmentalist who has specialized in Biodiversity Conservation. Her love for nature transformed a hobby into a profession and now she is undertaking the study of plant biodiversity in various areas of Lebanon. Both have dedicated a good portion of their lives to the preservation of the environment in Lebanon.
