Le timbre, petit bout de papier d’une grande importance aux yeux des philatélistes, voit le jour en Angleterre en 1840.
Solution postale et fiscale révolutionnaire, il est adopté progressivement par le reste du monde. Ce livre présente tous les timbres émis au Liban depuis 1919. Regroupés par séries d’émission, les timbres ont été reproduits à l’échelle 1/1, et sont accompagnés pour chaque année d’anecdotes philatéliques, historiques ou littéraires.

Abdo Ayoub
Né à Beyrouth, Liban, en 1944, Abdo Ayoub, en plus d’être billetophile et passionné d’histoire, est un philatéliste assidu, collectionneur et numismate. Il s’intéresse en 1992 au « billet libanais », autour duquel il mène une recherche approfondie en vue d’une reconstitution des archives inexistantes de la monnaie nationale. Il parviendra ainsi à constituer une des plus belles collections de la Livre libanaise de ses origines en 1919 à nos jours et publiera en 2004 La monnaie du Liban, Spécial collectionneurs. À l’âge de 15 ans, il commence à s’intéresser à la philatélie, et c’est durant la guerre civile libanaise, qu’il rendra sa collection plus solide et complète. En 2014, Abdo Ayoub est élu président de l’Association libanaise de philatélie, auprès de Billy Karam, vice-président, et de Bernardo Longo, secrétaire général, ainsi que d’autres prestigieux membres de cette association qui oeuvre pour la promotion du timbre au Liban sous tous ses aspects.

We ship as soon as possible, but within maximum 4 days after the order is received.

Packages are sent with track code to guarantee reception, and delay is rare. In the event of non-delivery or delay, nothing can be done for 7 days. If 14 days after the first dispatch there is still no delivery, a second package will be sent free.
