Description

LebanonPostcard presents the Book Two Wheels Across Lebanon – Christian Ghammachi – Hardcover book, 30.5×24.5 cm, 240 pages.

One man and his cameras on a solo motorbike journey across Lebanon, seeking to discover, capture and share what unravels along his way.

Following the success of his previous book titled “Rise Above Lebanon”, Christian returns to tell the second half of the story, by taking a much closer and more intimate look at Lebanon.

This book is, first and foremost, a book of photographs captured during his journey.

It is organized in six chapters, each one representing one of the six routes he travelled, including maps of the actual routes, as well as names and details of all the places he either visited or had intended to.

As such, it is designed for those wanting to see images of Lebanon through Christian’s lenses, as well as those wanting to plan their own journeys across the country.

Beirut-born photographer Christian Ghammachi’s passion for photography spans over twenty-five years and has led him around the world.

Seeking out the less obvious, overlooked details, and finding beauty in hidden elements and emotions, Christian is inspired by the resilience of people, landscapes and wildlife. He is particularly interested in creating photographs that show beauty and enduring passion despite adversity.

His portfolio includes photographs from Africa, the Middle East, Nepal, Cuba, the United States and Europe.

Christian’s photographs have gained recognition over the years, and have been published widely.

A collection of his works – 19 Years Later – was published in 2010 and won the Dubai International Prints Achievement Award in 2011. His second book, titled “Rise Above Lebanon”, was released in 2015 and was an immediate best seller.

He has showcased his work on several occasions in the Middle East and Europe.
