Conter Deir el-Qamar est un projet ambitieux dans sa conception, difficile dans sa réalisation, mais, paradoxalement, agréable dans les recherches qu’il implique et surtout dans le récit qu’il offre au lecteur. Capitale du Mont-Liban dès la fin du XVe siècle, elle cédera sa place à Beyrouth en 1920.
Consacrée Cité des Émirs, elle sera à la hauteur de son rôle, fidèle durant les heures de faste et présente au tournant du destin, toujours égale à elle-même, fière et stoïque. Conter Deir el-Qamar c’est, d’une certaine façon, raconter l’histoire du Liban moderne qui s’étend le long des quatre derniers siècles du millénaire révolu. Elle constitue un passage obligé. En plus du volet historique, l’auteur a tenu à aborder son sujet selon plusieurs perspectives. La vie sociale, les traditions, les us et coutumes, suivis de la vie religieuse, la foi et la spiritualité, du monde de l’éducation, des lettres et de la culture, d’une visite richement illustrée de ses palais, ses monuments et son bel ensemble architectural, des récits des chroniqueurs des siècles précédents et de l’image de Deir el-Qamar aux yeux des contemporains. Sans toutefois oublier l’évocation et l’analyse psycho-sociale et politique des deux grands malheurs qui l’ont frappée, à savoir le génocide de 1860 dont on commémore le cent cinquantième anniversaire en cette année 2010, et la famine de la guerre 14-18. En reprenant les événements, les faits et le mode de vie, le professeur Antoine Boustany, psychiatre émérite, n’a pas manqué d’ajouter sa touche professionnelle pour une meilleure compréhension de l’histoire et surtout des hommes.

Packages are sent with track code to guarantee reception, and delay is rare. In the event of non-delivery or delay, nothing can be done for 7 days. If 14 days after the first dispatch there is still no delivery, a second package will be sent free.
Packages inside Lebanon are sent registered through LibanPost to guarantee reception, and delay or non-delivery is rare. In the event of non-delivery, nothing can be done for 6 days.
